Biography
Born in Viseu in 1991, he lived his whole life in Miranda do Corvo, Coimbra.
Despite finishing the Masters Degree in “Pre-School Education and Teaching 1st CEB” with an average of 19 values, the passion for music always spoke louder and began to make itself known to the public through YouTube only with 16 years old, currently “YouTuber of the Year” in the Music category, having previously won the same award.
Nominated for Nickelodeon’s Kid’s Choice Awards’17, Paulo Sousa also sees some of his singles being included in soundtracks for TVI soap operas and SIC’s “Espelho d’Água”.
Paulo Sousa spent several weeks in the Top 25 of RFM, having reached the 5th position with “Somos Eu E Tu”, a theme included in SIC’s soap opera, Espelho D’Água.
Paulo Sousa was also a finalist for the 6th edition of the SIC Idols talent show, participated in Factor X and won the Golden Voice Competition, where he shared the stage with Áurea and recorded the duet “Heading Back Home”.
Actress Catarina Gouveia and Youtuber Angie Costa are some of the muses featured in the artist’s music videos.
“TEU” is the name of the artist’s first original album, which entered the week of release, directly to the top spot of the national top album sales.
The album has several unpublished themes, in which “Somos Eu e Tu”, “Não Me Deixes Ir” and “Onde Quero Estar” are just some of the hit singles in several national soap operas.
Along with the album edition, came also the FNAC showcases tour, which so many people have dragged through some of the largest stores in the country.
Paulo Sousa was also one of the guests on the Confessions program on MEGA HITS radio, where he recorded a more intimate version of Camila Cabello’s original theme “Num Segundo” and “Havana”, in a more r’n’b aspect.
After having been the voice of MEO Sudoeste’s anthem in 2016, Paulo Sousa is now invited to climb one of the stages of this festival.
